Course rotation 
The designated 18-hole course rotates throughout the year. You can find out which two of our courses are being used for the 18 hole course and which is the designated 9 hole course by calling the Pro Shop.
For the benefit of our newer members and as a reminder to everyone:
Cowden Course Local Rule – Woodland Areas
Local rules implemented on completion of the Woodland Project in 2019/20 in areas where trees were previously – Red Penalty Area.
The areas where trees have been removed have been designated as ‘Red Penalty Areas’ (Rule 17) and are marked by Red posts.
Relief is optional and a player may play from the Penalty Area if they choose.
If a player opts to take relief, this may be taken with one penalty stroke as follows under Rule 17.1-d:
(1) Stroke-and-Distance Relief. (Rule 14.6)
(2) Back-On-the-Line Relief. (Rule 14.3)
(3) Lateral Relief (Only for Red Penalty Area)
